2019 (Sophmore)
It was a huge sophomore season for Parnell, as he was one of the top linebackers not just on the Wolves, but in the nation. He was nominated for the Cliff Harris Award, which is presented to the nation's top small college defensive player and was named to the All-GNAC First Team. He was named GNAC Player of the Week once and helped create one of the top linebacker groups around. He led the team in solo tackles with 44 and was second on the team in total tackles with 68. He also led the team in tackles for loss with 10.5 and tied for the team lead in sacks with 6.5. Parnell also recorded an interception, a pass breakup, a quarterback hurry and three forced fumbles in starting every game. He had at least four tackles in every game, going for at least five or more in seven games. He had a high of 10 tackles against Eastern New Mexico and had four or more solo tackles in seven games. Parnell had over a tackle for loss in four games, posting three two tackles for loss games against Simon Fraser, Central Washington and Azusa Pacific. He also had a pair of sacks against Simon Fraser and Azusa Pacific. Parnell forced a pair of fumbles versus Azusa Pacific and had an interception against Simon Fraser.
2018 (Freshman)
Appeared in all 11 games... totaled 47 tackles, 25 solo and 22 assisted, and 5.0 sacks... had season-high 12 tackles Oct. 27 at Azusa Pacific... forced and recovered a fumble as well as intercepted a pass Sept. 29 against Simon Fraser.
High School
Four-year letter winner at South Medford High School… 1st Team All-State as a junior and senior… helped team to conference championships his final two seasons and an appearance in state championship game as a senior… team captain and team MVP each of his final two years.
Personal: Born Sept. 28… son of Tracy and Chris… family includes brother Jamal... majoring in exercise science.
