Bio

Senior (2019):  Played in all 13 games, starting 12… Registered 35 tackles, including 3.5 for loss and 1.5 sacks, helping the defense to national rankings of first in sacks per game (3.92) third in tackles for loss (8.5)…  Added two breakups and two QB hurries… AWARDS: Phil Steele Preseason AAC: third-team defense... American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.

Junior (2018 at Rice): Co-captain who was third on the team with a career-high 55 tackles... Led the team with six hurries and two fumble recoveries and was tied for third with 4.5 TFL...  Credited with a career-high nine tackles vs. UTSA... AWARDS: All-C-USA Honorable Mention… Phil Steele All-C-USA Third Team.

Sophomore (2017 at Rice): Started all 12 games and reached career highs in tackles (37), unassisted (24), assists (13), TFL (4) and sacks (2)... Established a single game high with five tackles vs. Army and matched that total in back-to-back efforts vs. LA Tech and at UAB... Credited with a career-high 1.5 TFLs at Pitt.

2016 (at Rice): Started the first four games before a season ending injury... AWARDS: Phil Steele All-C-USA Preseason Second-Team… C-USA Honor Roll.

Freshman (2015 at Rice): Played in 11 games... Had his first career forced fumble against UTEP… Blocked a PAT vs. Southern Miss.

Prep: All-District 9-6A, All-Area and second-team APSE All-State selection as a senior at Skyline High for coach Reggie Samples… Led Skyline to the 6A D1 semifinals… Team captain… Finished with 81 tackles, 22 of which were for loss (14 sacks), 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery and 20 quarterback hurries… Member of the National Honor Society… Who’s Who in High School… Ranked in the top 15% of his graduating class.
